Sway Your Way to Better Health!
Like SUDs and Body Check, Muscle Testing is another way to find out what's going on in your subconscious. Feel free to use whichever technique resonates with you ~ if your comfortable, you'll get better results!
The human body is a very useful instrument that provides all kinds of information – if we just know how to ask! There are a variety of ways to use the body to provide feedback on the limiting beliefs we've been living with our entire lives. One easy way to get this feedback is through a method called muscle testing (aka dowsing). Muscle testing is frequently used by a variety of health care practitioners. Chiropractors use muscle testing to find which parts of the body need adjustment and to check if the adjustment has been successfully made, while nutritionists and homeopaths use muscle testing as a means of communicating with the body to uncover health issues or determine remedies. In her book, Energy Medicine, Donna Eden says, "If I had the power to impact the medical profession in just one way, it would be that physicians add energy testing to their diagnostic tool kit." I absolutely agree with her! When it comes to creating permanent life changes, knowledge is power. Using muscle testing to determine where your conscious and subconscious are out of alignment is truly some powerful knowledge! It's like having the keys to your own kingdom! (You've always had it inside you! now click your heels three times -- oh wait, that's something else. . . .)
THE SWAY TEST (I found this to be the easiest of the muscle testing techniques to teach people, but feel free to use what works best for you!)
Step 1 Stand with your feet no more than shoulder width apart. Either test barefoot or in flat shoes such as sneakers. Heels are not recommended -- you might fall over!. Imagine roots growing down from the bottom of your feet deep into the floor and beyond. Let yourself sway forward and back, left to right – like a tree bending in the breeze. This visualization will help you to stay grounded and allow your body to find its center. Step 2 'Program' your body to go forward for a positive answer and backward for a negative answer. Simply say "Body, sway forward for a yes answer," (and then sway forward so Body gets the picture) and "Body, sway backward for a no answer."(Yup. Now sway back!) Then test your body by saying "yes" and feel yourself sway forward, then saying "no" and feeling yourself swaying backward. You can also think of someone you love (and notice your sway forward) and then think of someone/something or an event that upsets you (and notice your sway backward). Cool, huh?
Step 3 Now state one of your goals that you are having trouble achieving (ALWAYS in the positive, please!! It's to your benefit to be saying what you want rather than what you don't want): STATED IN THE POSITIVE: I earn more than enough money to pay my bill with lots left over STATED IN THE NEGATIVE: I don't want any more debt Sway to the goal stated in the positive. Swaying back? There's a limiting belief standing in the way of you and your goal. Together we'll idenfity those limiting beliefs and eliminate them ~ freeing you to acheive what had before been elusive.
